|Plot||Along the road that borders Campo Grande, two lines of people stand for hours to watch the carriages pulled by horses (with tails cut short), horsemen, and numerous motor cars with nobles and bourgeoisie mingling in a sedate «flower battle» that was becoming the city's «in thing» during the Carnival (Shrove Tuesday).
