Plot A short documentary film that provides an insight into the age-old process of making maple syrup from the sap extracted from maple trees, as practiced by four old men in the slumbering Midwestern American town of Galien. Through candid interviews and behind-the-scenes footage of the syrup being made using unique improvised methods, A Dying Art takes viewers into the fast-disappearing world of the sugar shack. A Dying Art is set against the declining socio-economic climate of small mid-western towns such as Galien, where the population is dwindling and the townsfolk must bond over common interests to strengthen their sense of community.... search for A Dying Art on IMDb
