In 1925, a youth patriot named Gao FengChun who was determined to save the country
as a doctor returned from overseas study in Britain and managed to open a pauper relief clinic with an aim to aid the poor by practicing medicine. However, under the invasion of the imperialism and the bloody exploitation of the new and old warlords, millions of countrymen were flung into an abyss of suffering.
