|Plot||Four renegade clowns find themselves in a halfway house on the wrong side of town. Mr. Bubbles wears the traditional clown nose much to the chagrin of, Balthar, who believes wearing the nose is selling out. Billy, Balthar's ex-partner, is smitten by Bubbles and his ways, increasing the tension amongst the men, in addition to, Balthar's predisposition to exposing himself. The reason why the clowns are in this correctional facility is one of the central plot lines; as is their sexual orientation. Billy, Bubbles & Balthar is really a story about identity. Billy is searching for a pathway to bliss away from outside influences. The debate about the nose is secondary to the subtext of manipulation and control exercised by Billy's colleagues: Bubbles and Balthar. Barry, the mime clown, is silent; yet, seething with frustration and anger which may, or, may not, boil over. The story takes place over the course of 18 months and is recorded and filmed by the local parole board to serve as a training video for future criminologists. Billy, Bubbles & Balthar is primarily set in the halfway house. It is guided by the 'touchy-feely' Moderator character who keeps the clowns focused on the issue surrounding the nose. Flashback sequences and documentary footage from the past and present aides in the telling of this compelling story. This is a mockumentary style film.... search for Billy, Bubbles & Balthar on IMDb|
