|Plot||Four people share four unique stories that span the range of human heartbreak. The first is a dancer whose one true passion was found on her feet. She shares her passion, what drives her and motivates her and then tells the story of the car accident that stole her ability to walk, and thus crippled her dream. Modeled after the Picasso's painting 'The Old Guitar Player.' The second is the story of an American man who, after his brother was murdered in a race related crime, left the country in search of a country with a government that agreed with his ideals. While trying to acclimate himself, he discovered that his American origins would forever taint his desire to leave them behind. James Montgomery's 'Uncle Sam' Poster serves as the inspiration for this monologue. The third story is of a woman who fell in love with a man who existed only in her mind, and the inner dialogue of her mind that struggles against the reality. Inspired by Frida Kahlo's painting 'Two Fridas.' The fourth story is that of a woman who was sexually abused and experienced her first orgasm during the encounter. She speaks of the conflicting emotions and immense confusion this creates inside of her as she tries to process and understand what it means.
