|Plot||This video short explores the personal and social history of a small, vintage Southern California home. To accommodate the growing working classes, neighborhoods of affordable bungalows were built throughout California in the nineteen twenties. Many were neglected and demolished by mid century, but with the rise in nostalgia and property values during the late nineteen seventies their status was revitalized. California bungalows became icons of gentrification and depending on their condition, architectural style, and locale, they peaked at prices of 800,000 right before the financial disaster of 2008. In a focus on one particular bungalow, this video short touches on the lives of its owners and of how the homes stories intersect with local cultural and economic transformations.... search for Bungalow Expose on IMDb|
