|Publicity Expert lee Adams (Hopton) uses ex-carnival character "Honest" John Brady in a Publicity stunt he throws for the press, in order to promote his new chain letter scheme. However, things go terribly wrong when it turns out "Honest" John is on the run from the law, and then one of the recipients of the chain letter is murdered. Adams tries to get to the bottom of the murder, constantly in a battle of wits and ethics with pretty female reporter Mary Larkin (Ware), who has invited herself along for the ride.|
