Plot Brent Ashworth, a manager in a clothes factory is married to Karen, an alcoholic housewife who litters their relationship with torment and abuse. On being invited to a fancy dress party where Karen is amongst like-minded friends, she demands that Brent take her shopping. Whilst having a cocktail coffee, and Brent is absent, Karen makes an odd phone call to a friend. On returning home Karen gets impatient as she waits for her husband to get ready.
